National Shipping Adjusters (NASHA) has been founded in 1985, being one of the first Classification Societies and Recognized Organizations (RO), duly authorized by a number of Flag Administrations.

As a company we are aware on the importance of strengthening our competitiveness and providing quality services to our Clients. Hence, a quality management system based on the ISO 9001 quality management system standard and the Code for Recognized Organizations (RO Code) has been implemented that allows our Organization to control and ensure high quality service. Simultaneously, we comply with the highest maritime Standards, the Flag Administrations national regulations and International Maritime Regulations.

The assurance of quality is fundamental to satisfy and exceed our Customer´s expectations.


Our Focus

NASHA focuses on delivering the highest quality class and statutory surveys, audits and inspections by evolving qualified and quality personnel, while maintaining its totally independent third party.

We believe that the key to meet our commitments in overseeing our quality service is to focus on continuous improvement, development and customer satisfaction, by evolving reliable and valuable surveyors, subcontractors, representatives, employees and suppliers.

We have developed relevant Rules and Regulations in compliance with IMO standards, National and International Regulations, along with a quality management system based on ISO 9001 and the RO Code that provides a guaranty to our quality of service.

At NASHA, we maintain and continually develop our global operations in line with the needs of our Clients that use our services.

Our Goal is to offer a reliable, flexible and cost effective service, without compromising our great concern that is to ensure the safety of life at sea and the prevention of pollution of the marine environment.


Our Policy

National Shipping Adjusters sets the highest commitment to quality through the quality policy. We are aware of the importance of our activities and services that are being carried out based on quality and we have established this policy.

We provide technical support to the Maritime Industry, through surveys and inspections and we issue class and statutory certificates that fully satisfy the needs of our clients and comply with the International and National Maritime Regulations. By these means, we ensure the Safety of Human Life at sea and Environmental Protection, as the main scope of our company. In particular we:
• ensure that the policy and objectives are established;
• ensure the policy and objectives are appropriate for the purpose of the organization;
• communicate the policy and objectives; including provisions applicable to the statutory certification and services, to the organization and ensure that it is understood within the organization;
• ensure sufficient availability of resources;
• include a commitment to comply with all applicable requirements and continually improve the effectiveness of the quality management system;
• conduct management reviews; which includes a framework for reviewing quality objectives; and
• review the quality policy, objectives and the quality management system for continuing suitability.

NASHA compliance with a Quality Management System and the Code for Recognised Organizations, which guarantees continuous improvement, quality of work.

We perform statutory certificates and services by the use of competent, quality and valuable Surveyors, Auditors, Technical and Administrative personnel that are duly qualified, highly trained, committed to the efficiency and development of our Organization, and authorised to execute all duties and activities incumbent upor their employer, within their level of work responsibility.

NASHA is not substantially dependent on a single commercial Enterprise for its revenue.

This Policy is being reviewed, implemented, supported, maintained, read and understood by all NASHA’s level of employees.


Our Team

To provide worldwide services, NASHA has established a network of qualified and experienced surveyors located in major ports of the world.

Since the Surveyors carry out a significant portion of our activities, we recognize the importance of management policies, which will assure uniform quality of this important survey services.

NASHA is authorized by a number of Flag Administrations to conduct class and statutory surveys, as well as issue applicable certificates on their behalf.

We have been among the first Classification Societies and Recognized Organizations (RO) authorized by Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
